REDPILL Records B.V. is the controller for the data described on this page. It is a separate company from Amsterdam Technologies B.V., which operates the mail system described below on our behalf.

Newsletter
If you sign up to the newsletter we process your email address in order to send you news about releases and events. Nothing else is collected — the form asks only for an email address.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give it by ticking a checkbox that is never pre-ticked. It covers the newsletter only and is not bundled with anything else.
Double opt-in. After you submit the form we send one email asking you to confirm. Until you click the link in it, your address is stored as unconfirmed and receives nothing further. If you never confirm, you never hear from us again.
Withdrawing consent. Every newsletter contains a working unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately. You can also write to us.
Subscriber addresses are held in a mail system operated for us by Amsterdam Technologies B.V. on servers in Germany. They are never sold, rented or shared with anyone else.
Server logs
The web server records each request: IP address, browser and operating system, the referring and requested URL, the response status, and the time. An IP address is personal data, so we say so rather than describing this as anonymous.
The basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site online and diagnosing faults. Logs are not profiled, not used for advertising and not combined with anything else. Retention: 30 days.
Analytics
The site loads a small script from analytics.amsterdam-technologies.com, a
self-hosted analytics instance run by Amsterdam Technologies B.V. on our behalf.
It counts page views. No third party receives the data and nothing is sold or
shared.
No cookie is set and your IP address is not stored. The IP is used only to derive an approximate country and a short-lived visit identifier, and is discarded; what is kept is the page, the referrer, and coarse browser, device and country information. Nothing records what you type, and no session recording is enabled.
The basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time under Art. 21 by writing to the address above, and we will stop. You may also block the script; nothing on the site depends on it.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

No data leaves the EU, and no fonts, scripts or other assets are loaded from third-party networks on page load.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, and portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest — here, the server logs and the analytics — and you may withdraw newsletter consent at any time without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
Write to the address above and we will answer within one month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, Postbus 93374, 2509 AJ Den Haag, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
